    The Creation.

The Wave Mural is a community-driven mosaic mural set to be installed in the entryway to the Millyard in downtown Amesbury in June 2025.

The design, created by local 8th grader Ania Tymowski, with a digital mock up by Meadowhawk Studios, will be composed of tiles created by community members of all ages. It symbolizes a "Wave of Change" - a call to action for Building a Better World.  Each color in the wave represents a different social/environmental theme, acknowledging ways to Build a Better World as a collective.

    The Evolution.

In Spring of 2024, we opened a call to students in the local school systems for mural designs with the theme Building a Better World. Our goal was a large-scale mural that united diverse entities of the community together into a common goal, creating something both beautiful and meaningful.

Our greatest hope in the process was to ignite dialogue and actionable change and to bring people together.

    Build it.

Our tile making events engage the local community in public art making. Since November of 2024, our team, which includes ten 7th and 8th grade students from River Valley Charter School, have engaged hundreds of people, ranging from toddler to senior citizen, in making tiles at pop-up events in various locations across the community. Through grants and donations, we aim to keep this project accessible to ALL.
